Tweet Demo

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

Screen shots just didn’t seem like they would do Tweet justice. So instead here is a simulation of how Tweet works. I’ll be updating the simulation to demonstrate new features as they come about.

Tweet issue fixed

Thursday, December 25th, 2008

Due to a recent server change Tweet has been updated yet again (now to version 1.0.10.0). This fix resolves the issue when updating your status in Tweet (which affected all previous releases of Tweet). Also updated since the last announcement the Twitter library uses SSL to encrypt all connections made with Twitter and Tweet identifies itself to Twitter when you use it to post updates.

Tweet Issue

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

It looks like there have been some changes to the Twitter API that have resulted in the inability for Tweet to update your status. It can still download the statuses of the people you are following.

The error you will see is:

The remote server returned an error: (417) Expectation Failed.

I am looking into the issue and hope to have a fix soon.

Tweet Installation Process Improved

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

Less than 24 hours after the initial release comes a subsequent improvement to the installation process. The new installer will improve setup by automatically downloading the .NET Framework 3.5 and SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP1 if they are not already installed. This bumps the version number up to 1.0.8.0.

Information about Tweet

If you already have the pre-requisites and simply need the stand alone Tweet installer, you can still find it at: http://tweet.i-think22.net/TweetSetup.msi

Happy Twittering.

Tweet Command Line Client 1.0.7 Available

Sunday, December 21st, 2008

After what has felt like an extremely long period of testing and tweaking, I am finally making Tweet, my command line Twitter client, available to the general public. It’s clearly the Twitter client of the future as we prepare for the re-emergence of the command shell.

You can find more information about Tweet by checking out the page dedicated just to it at: http://tweet.i-think22.net/.
