Due to a recent server change Tweet has been updated yet again (now to version 1.0.10.0). This fix resolves the issue when updating your status in Tweet (which affected all previous releases of Tweet). Also updated since the last announcement the Twitter library uses SSL to encrypt all connections made with Twitter and Tweet identifies itself to Twitter when you use it to post updates.
Download Tweet now.
It looks like there have been some changes to the Twitter API that have resulted in the inability for Tweet to update your status. It can still download the statuses of the people you are following.
The error you will see is:
The remote server returned an error: (417) Expectation Failed.
I am looking into the issue and hope to have a fix soon.
Less than 24 hours after the initial release comes a subsequent improvement to the installation process. The new installer will improve setup by automatically downloading the .NET Framework 3.5 and SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP1 if they are not already installed. This bumps the version number up to 1.0.8.0.

Happy Twittering.
After what has felt like an extremely long period of testing and tweaking, I am finally making Tweet, my command line Twitter client, available to the general public. It’s clearly the Twitter client of the future as we prepare for the re-emergence of the command shell.
You can find more information about Tweet by checking out the page dedicated just to it at: http://tweet.i-think22.net/.
